Biography
Born and raised in Evanston, a Chicago suburb, Sam Weinberg is the son of a psychologist and former probation officer. He attended Glenbrook South High School in Glenview, Illinois before moving alone to the Middle East at the age of 17 to study peace-building diplomacy on the border of Israel-proper and the West Bank for a year and a half.
At the age of 19, without having graduated from high school, Sam built what VICE News described as “a formidable grassroots organization.” Aside from his political involvement, Sam enjoys playing guitar; accumulating antiques, art, and ephemera; and reading up on fine art, particularly the works of orientalists and the Hudson River School.
