Lucas Congdon is the owner of Lucas Lagoons and the host of Animal Planet’s “Insane Pools: Off the Deep End.” Born into a family of Vermont landscapers and stonemasons, Lucas has been cutting and crafting stone since the age of 14, when his creative talents and love for outdoor design first surfaced. He became a member of FSPA & APSP and started Lucas Lagoons in 2003; his first project was a dramatic natural sand-bottom lagoon crafted using native limestone boulders. The project won Lucas Lagoons the prestigious Gold Award in residential pool restorations, and the rest, as they say, is history. Lucas’s incredible, state-of-the-art custom creations continue to receive awards and accolades nationwide. Lucas created a YouTube channel showcasing his outdoor projects, which captured the attention of network television. He soon became the star of the international hit series “Insane Pools: Off the Deep End,” which airs in 22 countries around the world.

Lucas continually challenges himself and his crew with ever changing designs and ideas, saying “a custom design is just that…it will never be built again.” With an engineer’s mind and a designer’s eye, he uses his natural abilities to rethink existing technology and create new engineering feats for every outrageous request he gets from his outlandish clients. He is a master at reinventing the wheel and making it look easy.
