Leslie Antonoff has always been a person with drive. At six years old, she had a plan to become a prosecuting attorney and ultimately a Supreme Court Justice. While the plan has changed, her aspirations for success have not. Her ability to connect with the masses by sharing her story and being herself without fear, combined with her desire to create, is what makes her unstoppable. She is the co-creator, executive producer, and star of Aspire TV’s culinary series, Butter + BROWN. Cooking wasn’t always something that she found passion in. In fact, she was often told by her mother that if she didn’t get in the kitchen early she’d never learn how to cook. Well, she proved Mom wrong and made her proud. Through her experiences dining out around the world and living on her own while at Howard University, she mastered the basics and created some tricks all her own to become an excellent cook.
Along with her love of creating in the kitchen, she is a proud business owner and successful entrepreneur. She started her first business at eight years old and has founded many more since, leading to her creating the collegiate HBCU apparel line Sweet Knowledge Clothing Company in 2013. The line specializes in creating stylish wares for the HBCU community to proudly display their school pride. It has been featured in Essence magazine’s holiday guide, seen on Buzzfeed’s list of clothing brands not to miss, and is a go-to shop for many HBCU alumni, students, and supporters.
In addition, Leslie has successfully run a lifestyle brand and blog, The Hautemommie, for the past eleven years, on which she shares stories of her experiences in motherhood, entrepreneurship, and style. She has been featured on digital platforms such as Glitter Guide and Voyage LA, been a guest on many podcasts, including Super Mamas and Brown Girls Rising, has collaborated with brands like Clorox, Cora Women, and LA County Fair, and has had bylines in Ebony, Essence, Daily Dot, The Spruce Eats and more.
As a wife and mother of three, Leslie always keeps her family first as she sets out to create a legacy that changes the world.
