Deborah Owens is a 20-year veteran and former vice president of the financial services industry. She is also a radio talk show host, speaker, online columnist, entrepreneur, and author. On the “Real Money” on the Baltimore/ DC NPR-affiliated WEAA, Owens has become known as the Wealth Coach whose mission is helping people of incomes build wealth. This in turn paved the way for her role as the lead blogger on AOL.com’s Black Voices portal and as the wealth coach for the My Money segment on My Generation TV. Owens is also the financial spokesperson for the Gods’ Leading Ladies tour organized by The New York Times best-selling author Reverend T. D. Jakes, and is the money columnist for www.tdjakes.com.

Owens is the CEO of Owens Media Group which creates sales and marketing programs for Fortune 500 companies. The recipient of the Business Women’s Network Small Business Entrepreneurship Award, Owens is also an Alumni of Leadership Baltimore, a civic leadership program. Owens has authored the titles Confident Investing (Macmillan 2000), and Nickel and Dime Your Way to Wealth: The `Common Cents’ Guide to Investing (Owens Media Group, 2005). Her latest book is titled A Purse of Your Own: The Financial Lifestyle Guide for Women (Touchstone Fireside, Dec 2009).
