Danielle Soucy Mills grew up in Massachusetts in a small city by the sea. Ever since she was little, she loved to write story after story, and she also enjoyed flipping across the furniture in her home. It’s no wonder that she went on to study English and writing at Rhode Island College while also competing on their gymnastics team. Collectively, she has been involved in the sport of gymnastics as an athlete and a coach for over thirty years. She later earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Chapman University, and her work has since appeared in US Weekly Magazine, People.com, and Chicken Soup for the Soul. She currently resides in sunny San Diego with her husband and two sweet daughters. Although she is an active member of Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, she enjoys writing for both children and adults in many different forms.
