BRENDA LANE RICHARDSON
Brenda Richardson is an award-winning author of several published books—fiction and non-fiction. Her novel, Chesapeake Song (Amistad Press, 1993) garnered the 1993 Pen-Oakland Award and Richardson was named 1994 Author of the Year by Go On Girl!, a national African-American book club. The novel was a Literary Guild selection. Her non-fiction title, 101 Ways to Help Your Daughter Love Her Body, co-written with Elane Rehr (Harper Collins: 2001) was cited by Amazon.com as one of the year’s best parenting books. The book has been translated into eleven languages, and was the subject of a two-page article in People, and featured on NBC’s “Today.” Her most recent work is a collaboration with another one of Serendipity’s authors, Aaron Smith, on his non-fiction financial advice book In The Black, published May 2009 by Harper Paperbacks.
