What is Black Speakers Collection?
Black Speakers Collection is meant to be a resource not only for Black speakers but for organizations who are looking to amplify and diversify their panels, conferences and company talks. It’s always free for speakers to join because access isn’t about paywalls. With over 60 categories and speakers from all over the world, companies have the freedom to browse through a roster of Black speakers and gain understanding of their expertise and rates. It offers members numerous services, such as assistance in finding a Black speaker for your next event, a team who can help you decide what topics to have your Black speaker cover, and a staff with 10+ years experience in talent acquisition who can help you find talent, create inclusive hiring strategies, and scale for equity.

Who is the Founder?
Black Speakers Collection was founded by Madison Butler as a way to more easily source Black Speakers, driven by her determination to decolonize the public speaking space. She’s committed to getting more Black speakers on stage, paid for their work, and recognized for their talents. Her mission is to ensure that no one ever feels like these spaces were not made for them, and that they can live, work, exist and thrive out loud. Madison has 8+ years of talent acquisition knowledge paired with a deep understanding of people operations and equitable org design.

Why Now?
Too often people want to pay in exposure, so we decided to take that part out of the equation. We are committed to giving Black speakers and consultants the exposure they need so they can get paid what they deserve.
